Keeper of the Wild, Inc.
We appreciate your continued support and donations toward the ongoing care of our rescued wildlife in need of rescue and rehabilitation year round, and your continued support and donations toward further expenses as we work to complete our new Keeper of the Wild Center, our own permanent home. We thank you so much! It has been our blessing to have you all behind us through everything!
We are proud to show you the future permanent home of Keeper of the Wild!

FINALLY! TODAY GROUND HAS BEEN BROKEN AT OUR NEW HOME IN WALTERBORO! Janet has been extremely busy running around talking to contractors on the new building, gathering permits and tending to the thousands of details, which, if you have ever built anything you know there are! But today, work actually began on the installation of the septic system. (Joe Williams shown below operating the back hoe tractor.)
A big “THANK YOU” to all of our supporters who helped us complete the Matching Grant Challenge made to us recently by a faithful supporter to raise $20,000 and get the $10,000 bonus to go with it to go toward the building of our new Keeper of the Wild Center in Walterboro, SC. Presently, we continue to operate without a center, but Janet and our hard working volunteers are still taking in wildlife in need and rehabilitating them in their homes while Janet works (in addition to doing pick ups, distributing them and feeding, cleaning, and caring for her own rescues) has been feverishly working in Walterboro to get permits and contractors lined up to begin work on the new center.

An answer to our prayers! The agreement to the property with Mrs. Mary Julia Royall who arranged for Keeper of the Wild to have a portion of the land known as “Rooty Hill” in Walterboro, SC donated by her family to the SC Land Trust for the new home of Keeper of the Wild has be signed! (Pictured above on the property is Land Forester Gary Hermann, Keeper of the Wild Director, Janet Kinser, Land Donor, Mrs. Mary Julia Royall, Mrs. Royall's niece, Ann Royall, Land trust Attorney, Barbara Holmes, and two of Keeper of the Wild's rescues from this baby season, two baby raccoons.)
As you may already know, we lost our lease to our home of ten years at our Center in St. George, SC and must be completely off the property by the end of August. We are already out of our old Center, and though it is hard since this is the middle of baby season, we are still operating and babies are presently being cared for in our volunteers’ homes. We asked for your prayers that we would know God’s plan for Keeper of the Wild. We believe His answer was Mrs. Mary Julia Royal, one of our supporters, who stepped up and donated land to us in Walterboro that will be a permanent location for a permanent home for Keeper of the Wild.
Updates will be posted on our Keeper of the Wild FACEBOOK page and here.
